The Sandy Springs Fire Department - began operations on December 29, 2006, and serves the community with 114 full-time personnel. The department serves the community with four trucks (combination engine and aerial truck), one Battalion Command Vehicle, two Engines, one mini-pumper, three Rescues, one Brush Truck, one wagon, a rescue boat, a mobile Fire Safety House (for education), an ATV and a CERT trailer. The department operates out of five fire stations.
The Sandy Springs Fire Department also prides itself on its ability to provide state-of-the-art first response system for vehicle accidents as well as emergency medical service calls.
